8.2.5. Replacement of epiploons of a target shaft of a transfer case

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Merge from a transfer case lubricant liquid.
  2. Remove forward section of system of production of the fulfilled gases and the thermofilter.
  3. Remove the forward driveshaft (see. Removal and installation of driveshafts).
  1. By means of a special key release a lock-nut of a connecting flange.

The lock-nut is subject to replacement without fail.

  1. With paint mark the provision of a connecting flange of rather carving pin.
  1. Remove a connecting flange by means of a stripper.
  1. Having used the special adaptation take an epiploon from a forward casing.
  1. Establish a new epiploon, previously having greased its sealing sponges with universal greasing.
  2. Establish a connecting flange.
  1. Tighten a lock-nut of a connecting flange with demanded effort.
  1. Establish the driveshaft.
  2. Installation of the remained components is made as it should be, the return to an order of their dismantle.


Back epiploon

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the back driveshaft.
  2. Take a back epiploon from a landing nest in the case of a transfer case.
  1. Previously having greased sealing sponges with universal greasing, plant a new epiploon and press it in a nest by means of a cylindrical opravka as which it is possible to use a replaceable face head suitable on the size or a piece of a pipe of the corresponding diameter. The edge of an opravka should rest only against a rigid face surface of an epiploon.
  1. Establish into place the back driveshaft.
