4.13. Removal, service and installation of the oil pumpThe oil pump is established in a forward part of the engine and equipped with the built-in reduktsionny valve. The valve is built in by Perepuskna in transitional a flange located on the block of cylinders of the oil filter and access to it opens after removal of the last.
Removal and dismantling

|
- Merge impellent oil.
- Empty a radiator of system of cooling (see. Head Routine maintenance).
- Remove an air inlet sleeve
- Remove the fan of system of cooling with a casing.
- Remove the top and bottom radiatorny hoses.
- Remove the case pallet (see. Removal and installation of the pallet of a case).
- Remove a belt of a drive of GRM (see. Replacement of a belt of a drive of GRM).
- Remove the oil pump.
- Remove from the pump a cover with sealing laying and take from the gear wheel case.
- Turn out a stopper of the reduktsionny valve and take from a nest in the pump case klapanny a spring and a plunzher. Check a spring on existence of deformations, and a plunzher — on existence of scratches and задиров. Defective components are subject to replacement.

Condition check

|
- Carefully wash out components of pump assembly in solvent.
|
- Measure size of working gaps of gear wheels of the pump. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications. If the size of gaps falls outside the limits admissible values, replace gear wheels or pump assembly.

- Establish gear wheels in the case of the pump and fill cavities between their teeths technical vaseline (as initial filling at primary start).

Assembly and installation
|
|
- Establish in pump assembly a new forward epiploon of a cranked shaft (see. Replacement of a forward epiploon of a cranked shaft).
- Grease components of pump assembly with pure impellent oil and plant in the case a set of gear wheels and components of the reduktsionny valve.
- Establish into place a cover and fill in in the pump impellent oil.
- Establish the pump on the engine — do not forget to change sealing laying. Establish a maslozaborny tube (also with a new sealing ring).
- Grease screws of fastening of a cover of the pump with anti-taking hermetic. Establish a cover, screw screws and tighten them with demanded effort. Establish in the pump case a spring and a plunzher of the reduktsionny valve. Having replaced a sealing washer, screw a stopper and strongly tighten it.
