10.20. Check of effort of resistance to sliding of a lath of the steering mechanism

- Bring forward wheels of the car into rectilinear situation. Check level of hydraulic liquid in the tank of the steering pump, in case of need make the corresponding adjustment (see. Head Routine maintenance).
- Make sure of absence in a path of air jams, in case of need pump over system (see. Pumping of a hydraulic path of a steering drive).
- To Poddomkratta the car also establish it on props (see an illustration
the Scheme of an institution of props for car fixing in the lifted situation).
- Disconnect tips of steering drafts from rotary fists.
- Disconnect the bottom hinge of a shaft of a steering column from a shaft of a leading gear wheel of the steering mechanism.
- Start the engine and let's to it work on single turns for GUR hydraulic liquid warming up to temperature about 60 — 80°С.
- Hook on a steelyard for a tip of one of steering drafts.
- Make sure that the steering mechanism is in the central situation and, having pulled for a steelyard, slowly extend draft on distance
of 11.11 mm with a speed about 3.17 mm/pages. Consider the maximum indication fixed by a steelyard.
- If the result falls outside the limits an admissible range (see.
Specifications), make adjustment of a torque of rotation of the steering mechanism (see. Adjustment of a torque of a provorachivaniye of a leading gear wheel of the steering mechanism).
- If adjustment of a torque does not lead to situation correction, replace the steering mechanism.
